Camlin Architect

Available

Camlin Architect is how you make or change a Camlin Connect app from Create, in a draft. You can start from the conversation, from a document you already uploaded, or from a template if you pick one. The draft is saved as you talk. Going live still waits for a person.

Stay in Create. You talk to the same avatar. Architect opens on the canvas beside the chat so you can see the same app — you are not dumped into a different product with no way back.

What it is

A Camlin Connect app is a real phone or chat assistant built from your conversation — a booking line, a weather or vacation checker, a receptionist, or something else you describe. Architect is the specialist Create calls to make that app or to change one already on the canvas. It works in a draft. The live line, if you ever have one, does not move until a person approves it.

How you open it

“Make me a booking app for the clinic.”

You do not pick Architect from a list. Ask Create for the app you want. You can describe it in the conversation, attach a document you already have, or name a template if one fits. Create offers Architect. You do not have to name the plugin.

  1. Sign in (or create a free account). Create will not save a Connect draft while you are signed out.
  2. Ask Create to make any Camlin Connect app: a booking line, a weather checker, a receptionist, or something you describe from scratch. You can attach a document so the app starts from that information. From scratch, Create compiles a first flow with a greeting, a question, a reply, then a branch in the character of the app — not a greeting that only reads the brief. A receptionist or after-hours message-taker is only if you pick that kind — not the only option.
  3. Try it by text on the canvas. Nothing is ever dialled from Create.
  4. Camlin Architect can show on the canvas beside the chat, still inside Create’s chrome.
  5. Ask for the change you want. Create offers Architect; you do not have to name the plugin.

You need to be signed in

Making or changing a Connect assistant needs a signed-in Create account. If you are signed out, Create asks you to sign in or create a free account. The change has not been saved. Reading this help page does not require an account.

What you will see

Camlin Architect opens on the canvas beside the chat, still inside Create. The avatar stays in its column. The usual Create chrome stays around it — you are not dumped into a different product with no way back.

Architect here is a slimmer view of the same app: the flow you are editing, without the full Architect product navigation. Open the same app in Camlin Architect itself and you may see a small Camlin Create chip in the slim bar at the top — not a panel sitting on the diagram.

Draft versus live — the confirm bar

Architect opens a draft as soon as you ask. Creating that draft does not wait on a confirm bar. Nothing in that draft is live on a phone number.

A confirm bar appears in the chat when you go live, overwrite someone else’s later save, or change Contact. It names the action in a sentence — for example publishing — then Confirm and Cancel. Confirm writes that change. Cancel closes the bar. Nothing is saved from that action. The assistant stays as it was.

On Architect on the canvas, the same kind of bar appears before a Contact action runs. It names the change, then Confirm and Cancel.

If someone else saved in the meantime, Create does not overwrite them. It reads again, shows the new difference, and waits for another confirm. Discard drops the draft without saving.

What you can ask

  • Change a node — “Change the greeting on my receptionist.” / “If they say billing, route them to the billing option.”
  • Start from a document — “Turn this uploaded brief into a booking app.” / “Use the hours in this PDF.”
  • Change an interaction — “Add a menu option for opening hours.” / “Rewrite the after-hours message.”
  • Grow the same draft — “Expand this into a real comedy app.” / “Add another topic.” Create updates the conversation as you talk. You do not confirm until you go live.
  • Add a phone trunk or a number — “Set up a trunk for this assistant.” / “Assign a number.” That opens Architect’s Contact page in the same Create visit. Confirm before anything is saved. Create will not buy a number or put the assistant live on its own.

Grow the same draft

Ask to expand the app — more jokes, more topics, a fuller booking line. Create updates the same draft as you talk. That is still a draft save, not a publish.

Try it by text after the change. You should hear the new conversation, not the original brief. A confirm bar still appears only when you go live, overwrite a later save, or change Contact.

After you confirm

A new app from scratch starts with a real first flow — a greeting, a question, a reply, then a branch in the character of the app — not a single greeting that only reads the brief. Create checks those conversation steps as it creates the app, so it is ready to try by text. That check is not the overview cards on the diagram. Try it by text on the canvas uses that flow. Publishing still waits for a person to approve it in Camlin Architect. After you press Publish, Create says it is waiting; it does not spin forever. You can leave the page. Create never puts an assistant live by itself, and nothing is ever dialled from Create.

What it will not do yet

It will not publish or go live from Create. It will not ring a phone or place a test call. Camlin Drafter and Nua Workflow are not this plugin — they are listed under Plugins as coming next, and asking for them will not open a session.

If something fails

  • Not signed in — Create asks you to sign in. Nothing is saved.
  • No assistant yet — make one first from the conversation, a document you uploaded, or a template if you pick one. Architect is offered once that piece is on the canvas.
  • Create says it cannot validate — that check looks at the conversation steps (greeting, a question, a reply), not the overview cards. Ask it to try the flow by text.
  • An expand did not land — stay in the same chat and ask again (“add another joke category”, “make it a real comedy app”). Create rewrites the conversation steps in the draft. You do not need a new chat for that.
  • You press Cancel on the confirm bar — the bar closes. Nothing is saved from that publish or overwrite. The assistant stays as it was.
  • Someone else saved while you were in the draft — Create shows the new difference and waits for another confirm. It does not overwrite them.
  • The canvas says the draft could not be created — stay in the same chat and ask again. Create does not leave a spinning Building card.
  • Try it says the flow is invalid — stay in the same chat and ask Create to try the assistant again. The conversation is on the canvas; Create maps it into the assistant for you.
